# Integrations

> Connect the Eka products you already use to your own systems: Medical Scribe and Eka EMR, with IPD, Billing and Health Records.

Your team already uses an Eka product. You connect it to your own systems through the same APIs developers build with. Here is one integration end to end: a consultation becomes a structured record on the patient's side.

## What you build with

> **[Understanding Integrations](https://developer.eka.care/docs/integrations/overview.md)**
>
> Which APIs connect Eka EMR, IPD, Billing and Health Records to your systems.

> **[Medical Scribe](https://developer.eka.care/docs/scribe/overview#how-it-works)**
>
> Voice in, structured notes out, from the Eka product you use.

> **[Eka EMR](https://developer.eka.care/docs/emr/patients.md)**
>
> Patients, appointments and prescriptions, with IPD, Billing and Health Records.

## How they fit together

**1. Find or register the patient**

Look up the patient in the [patient directory](https://developer.eka.care/docs/emr/patients.md), or create a profile for a new one.

**2. Record the consultation**

Start an EkaScribe session and upload the audio, or [stream it over a WebSocket](https://developer.eka.care/docs/scribe/sessions/stream-audio.md). The [quickstart](https://developer.eka.care/docs/scribe/quickstart.md) goes from audio to a note in five calls.

**3. Use the structured note**

The note arrives in your template and as [FHIR](https://developer.eka.care/docs/scribe/resources/fhir-structure.md) (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources). Create the [prescription](https://developer.eka.care/docs/emr/prescription.md) from its medications.

**4. Parse the lab report**

Send the report to [document parsing](https://developer.eka.care/docs/models/medical-document-parsing.md). You get each test with its measured value and unit.

**5. Save it to the record**

[Upload the record](https://developer.eka.care/docs/health-records/upload-records.md) so the patient and their next doctor can see the visit.
